The environment surrounding Japanese manufacturing industry is becoming increasingly uncertain, with the global economic downturn caused by the spread of Covid-19. At the same time, the Japanese manufacturing industry is being urged to respond quickly to the wave of digitalization symbolized by the overcoming of the "2025 digital cliff" as put forward by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. TIS Intec Group is a comprehensive IT service company that was founded in 1971 and now has around 20,000 employees which provides IT services in a wide range of industries and fields, from core systems that support business, to highly competitive applications and to the platform that forms the basis of the system. Among them, experienced in the implementation of SAP and ERP systems of many large Japanese corporations.
With this collaboration, RBEI will support the increased sophistication of management in Japanese assembly and manufacturing industries as well as their digital transformation and the acceleration of globalization. With the track record of TIS in implementing ERP for domestic manufacturers and its experience in handling Japanese corporate culture and business practices with RBEI's "MantHANA," the SAP S/4 HANA® template for assembly and manufacturing industries, customers will benefit from the best of both TIS and RBEI expertise in their transformation journey.
With regard to the collaboration, Takeshi Oga, Managing Corporate Officer, Chief Transformation Officer and head of Digital Ecosystem Business at SAP Japan commented as follows.
"SAP Japan welcomes the start of the collaboration between TIS and RBEI in ERP-related business for the assembly and manufacturing industries in Japan. I hope that "The ideal form of ERP implementation" (*Note: from "The Compass for the Introduction of ERP for Japanese Firms: Redefining ERP in Japan") will take root in the Japanese manufacturing industry through the collaborative scheme of TIS, which has supported the increased sophistication of group management and business reform utilizing SAP ERP solutions, and RBEI of the Bosch Group, which has a wealth of knowledge through applying the largest number of SAP solutions globally to the assembly and manufacturing industries."
Through this collaboration, RBEI will aim to accelerate the development of ERP business in the Japanese assembly and manufacturing industries and double the scale of its SAP-related business from its current level by 2025.
